New Doctors Added This Week on Breast Implants USA

If you've read earlier posts, you know that I was searching for BA info and Doctor info and more online and that I wasn't tremendously happy with the sites I found. One thing led to another and I ended up joining and helping start a new online resource for women looking for surgeons, financing, and information about breast implants.

Now that we're all caught up, I want to note that Breast Implants USA has been expanding and now covers some new areas. New additions this week: Cincinatti Breast Surgeon Dr. Hauw Han, Nashville and Franklin, TN Breast Augmentation Doctor John R. Moore, M.D., Seattle Breast Surgeon Dr. Curran J. Smith, and Miami Beach Breast Enhancement Surgeon Dr. Baruch Jacobs.

The new cities and areas represented include Cincinatti, Dayton, Nashville, Franklin, Miami Beach, and more. These doctors bring not only Before and After Photos and Articles, they also express their own practice philosophy and answer Frequently Asked Questions.

Obviously, I believe strongly in the site. I've personally learned so much in the process of helping to create it, and what I am learning is helping me form my decisions regarding my actions.

Anyway, we're still building it but it's already making a difference. I know of several women who have found their doctor already through the site. Visit Breast Implants USA to find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, view Breast Augmentation Before and After Photos, and more.

OK, enough plugging. Maybe now the rain will move on...

Mad about March

It has turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL day in Santa Monica. They had predicted rain for yesterday and today... granted, it could be warmer, but by Thursday it's supposed to get near 80. Sweet!

The only problem is this: the weather will be so beautiful this weekend that I'll feel wrong spending it inside watching basketball. (Can anyone spell UCLA? That's right!) Of course, this is the only time of year I really pay attention to basketball, so I guess foregoing a little Vitamin D from mr. sun is my price to pay.

My choice for watching the games *was* going to be cbs.sportsline.com... except the games I want to watch are on TV anyway, and they black it out on the intrenet here if it's on TV. So this year, I have turned to the magical and fascinating broadcast medium of television for my fix. TV! Who knew?

hey Em -- there's a doctor in charlotte

This post is primarily in response to an email I got from my friend Em, but I thought I'd post it for everyone:

The website I've been working with is really taking off. In case you haven't read before, I research articles on breast implants information and breast surgeons for the website www.BreastImplantsUSA.com. I'm excited because it's starting to get good responses and reviews and more and more doctors are signing on. The designers did a great job and the information is sortable and they're adding more features every week.

Anyway, in response to Em, yes, I *do* happen to know of a Charlotte Breast Surgeon (just click on the doctor search at the site and go from there). I was told that three users have sent them emails in the past week, so they're very popular for some reason. Go check it out.

Also, to anyone who is interested, they're starting up a forum. (If you go there, the "rebecca" listed is not me -- I'm signing up later this week). I happen to know from my inside sources (namely, me) that they're going to have a giveaway to the first 20 or 50 or whatever people who sign up (iTunes gift cards, from what I've been told), so if you're looking for a good supportive community that's a place to go.

I have to say I'm tempted to get one of the new Macs now. Of course, I just bought this one last year... and it's not like I'm rolling in cash. Not even taking a light shower. But if I squint juuuuust right, I can see money! No, wait -- that's grass.

But still. I've kinda gotten hooked on downloading shows in iTunes, jogging with the iPod -- of course, I'd need to add a new iPod as well -- surfing in Safari... and now I can do it how many times faster?

And do I need to? OF COURSE NOT. But I'm weak, and I'm right around the corner from the Third Street Promenade Apple Store. Which is dangerous, because you can also get beer on the Promenade.

There must be an AA for people like me.

New powerful search tools for Breast Implants articles

The website Breast Implants USA has new and improved search tools for anyone searching for information about Breast Implants, Breast Augmentation and other Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery procedures.

When you click on the Articles page, you can narrow your search by using a drop-down list. For instance if you want information on the following procedure:

TUBA, or Transumbilical Breast Augmentation

you just select either TUBA or Transumbilical Breast Augmentation from the drop-down list and those articles appear.

The site is adding new articles every day.

Also, coming in March, the forum will be kicking off with a new contest. More on that later.

The First Step: Breast Implants USA

I was dissatisfied with what I came across online as I looked for information on Breast Implants and Breast Surgeons. In response, I've joined a team who is creating what we think will be the best site on those subjects. The site goes in bold new directions in design and usability.

The site is Breast Implants USA, located at http://breastimplantsusa.com. It's still in the "ramp up" phase but it is already very, very cool. Many doctors have several videos online... it's a really cool look "behind the scenes" of breast augs.

The site contains:

- a surgeon finder: search by state, city, zip, surgeon name, etc.
- before and after photos of breast augmentations
- articles about cosmetic surgery
- frequently asked questions
- videos and audio

I'm very excited about this project and what it can mean for women seeking information. The more work we do, the more I'll post.
